Quiet and just the right size for minor jobs like firewood and tree trimming. It helps that I also a blower I bought with the same battery so I have 2 if I'm ever doing a bigger job- though that has only been with the blower so far.
I would recommend this to a friend!

chain keeps coming off

i've owned several gas powered chain saws and used these extensively. decided to give electric a try. the saw has plenty of power and i easily cut down a 10" oak tree and cut into sections. after about 10 minutes the chain continuously came off every 10-15 seconds. constantly had to remove the bar, readjust tension, tighten and cut for a few seconds before repeating. painful. perhaps there's a fix for this.

Hello geijin,
Thank you for the feedback, we are sorry to hear of this experience! Chainsaw chains can come off due to multiple reasons such as worn-down bars, worn-down sprockets, and wrongly set chain tension. Please check the chain tension and condition of all parts prior to using. If anything is worn or damaged, replace parts before using again. Replace the bar if: • the groove is not fit with the height of the drive links (which must never touch the bottom). • the inside of the guide bar is worn and make the chain lean to one side.
Please find instructions below for tensioning the chain! • Stop the motor and remove the battery from the chain saw before setting the chain tension. • Slightly loosen the chain cover lock knob. • Turn the chain tensioning knob clockwise to tension the chain. NOTE: A cold chain is correctly tensioned when there is no slack on the underside of the guide bar, the chain is snug, and it can be turned by hand without binding. • Rotate the chain cover lock knob to secure. Retention the chain whenever the flats on the drive links hang out of the bar groove.
Please note, during normal saw operation, the temperature of the chain increases. The drive links of a correctly tensioned warm chain will hang approximately 1/16" out of the bar groove. New chains tend to stretch; check the chain tension frequently and tension as required.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've got admit it, my time spent doing yard work has been made 100% easier thanks to adding this Greenworks string trimmer. On days when I don't want to drag out my lawn mower I love being able to simply whip out our green works string trimmer and easily give my yard a clean trim as needed. I also love how easy this string trimmer is to operate! I'm a fairly slim but short women at just 5 foot 2 120lbs and find this trimmer is very light weight and comfortable to use. Battery life on this green works trimmer lasts about 2 1/2 hours but it takes only 30 minutes to an hour to get the work I need it to get done. This trimmer definitely gets the job done fast and tears down weeds with such ease. I've been using this trimmer a lot lately to cut up the grass that grows through the fence extending into our driveway. So if your in the market for a yard work tool that will help you save so much time but keep your yard looking good I highly recommend this Greenworks String Trimmer ! I honestly didn't realize how much I needed this Greenworks trimmer until I finally used one and now I can't picture my life without it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an incredible string trimmer. It gets all the weeds I can't get to with a regular lawn mower and leaves the grass even. It has a good battery that last a long time. It also feels really sturdy and durable. This string trimmer is cordless so I don't have to worry about cables getting caught in it. This a really good string trimmer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love Cordless Torqdrive string trimmer. I was actually surprised at how tough it was knowing it was a string trimmer. I also liked how light it was to pick up and use. It really helped me with fixing up my backyard.
