I have 2 gas saws and "had" a competitors model in 60V. The Greenworks saw beat the other battery saw easily. Power was much more linear. Batteries lasted longer. Overall the Greenworks was even quieter. I have 5 other Greenworks tools but got sucked in by advertising for the competitors 60V. Lesson learned, stick with what you know.

We only have small trees, branches, and brush to cut through and it has been pretty effective for that. It is lightweight, easy to handle, and has good safe guards to prevent accidents.

I researched several battery powered chainsaws and ultimately selected the Greenworks due to the number of positive reviews. As it turns out, it was an excellent purchase. The saw is light and easy to operate and maneuver. Battery life is exceptional and the saw has plenty of power. I have already taken down several 18" diameter trees with my 16" saw with no problems. Excellent product.

Talk about a pleasant surprise. The 16” 40 volt chainsaw cut down 2 large overgrown spruce trees on 1 battery charge. This saw worked as well as my Jonsered gas chainsaw without the mess and the noise. Easy to use and lighter than the gas model. I was worried about battery power, but it worked out great. Nice saw.
