Fairly Durable

I bought one of these about 8 years ago and gave it a tough life... it finally petered out and now I am trying to decide if I want another one just like it or if I want to go with another brand... I'll have to say it is a fairly durable saw for the money.
Pros: Convenient, Cost-Saver, Easy to Use, Quiet, Durable, Environmentally Safe, Effective

The saw that keeps on giving

Purchased this 16 inch chainsaw five years ago and it is still going strong. I love to be in the field watching my co-workers pulling, sweating and cursing while trying to start their gas powered chainsaws while I am cutting away. Easily serviced in the field with chain changes and well that is about it because this thing never quits! I love it and would never go back to gas again. Just carry the extra batteries with you and work all day.

Nice lightweight chainsaw for small jobs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used this chainsaw for about 6 months to replace an 80V which died after 4 years. It is a nice little chainsaw but not near the power of the 80 volt. It is lighter and can cut through 16 inch logs but only cuts 8-10 times before it’ll the battery dies. But for small jobs is great. I finally broke down and replaced the 80 volt. What a difference!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been wanting a battery operated chainsaw for awhile, Amazon Prime Days and Greenworks 16” brushless chainsaw was on sale. Works well. My issue with the product is the battery. It won’t release very easily from the machine. Had to get help removing battery, was able to remove it a few times but it’s stuck again. I’ve read other people are having the same issue, some suggesting, manufacturer defect. I don’t know.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the 40V Platform for Almost 10 years This chainsaw was one of my first tools ever I liked it so well I bought a second one as a spare and now I had to purchase a third why you say because last year hunting season my very first and beloved saw some how grew legs -- was my goto saw wanted to run it till it failed !!! so bummed once i knew it was gone / missing and my spare had to be put into use I bought my third 40V 16" Chainsaw ---- I no longer use any fossile fuel tools unless I have to. Greenworks has been my go to --have now even gone into the 60V platform with 2 CRT426 Riders, 2 Stealth mini bikes, and a 2stage snow blower for winter use here in NY -- THUMBS UP GREENWORKS EJ

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tired of spending more time maintaining/fixing both of my gas chainsaws, decided to give the GW 16” a try. Couldn’t be happier! Insert battery, go to work. Plenty of power for my needs (occasional user), no mixing 2-cycle, changing fuel lines, filters, spark plugs or breathing and smelling of 2-cycle exhaust for the remainder of the day. Plus, now I have an additional 40v battery for my GW lawn de-thatcher.
