Perfect Entry Smart Trainer

Bought the M2 in Jan 2020, it has been flawless. Very easy to set up, calibrate and interface with Zwift. This the perfect entry level, wheel on smart trainer and is a great value!

I got the M2 almost a year ago when I joined Zwift, and I’m glad I did. It adjusts quickly to elevation changes, and syncs back up easily to Zwift when my wife (she also has an M2) is on and I am not. It really gives a great workout!

I have owned my M2 trainer for just over 18 months, and have used it extensively for Zwift. Performance has been flawless and it has proven to be a great option for a wheel-on trainer.

Works well with Zwift - no major issues. Have to be careful tightening the clutch knob to get proper resistance. The locking bolt is stiff to engage and disengage.

Great features for the money

I bought this a year or so ago, and only started using it a lot in the past 3 months (COVID = Zwift). I've used it with two bikes with very different OLDs and bolts -- a track bike with Chris King hubs (with special, code-shaped bolt ends -- ask Chris King support) and a 142x12 thru axle roadie. Flawless with both, aside from maybe 3 or 4 bluetooth disconnects over maybe 1500 miles, and I can pretty much guarantee those were the fault of my Mac.
I'd probably prefer a direct drive, but honestly, I haven't experienced any of the problems you hear about--little power lag, no real wheel slippage (at least not up to 1015 watts, which is as high as I've gotten), and no major tire shredding, even when I don't use the trainer tire. Totally worth 500 bucks!

Easy Set up

I bought this trainer to help with the boredum of riding inside. After inquiring at my local bike shop if someone would be willing to make a house call to set it up, I was pleasantly suprised how easy it was - just plug it in. It paired with riding APPs as soon as I started to pedal. Now that I'm able to also ride-in-real-life, I'm so glad I had the smart trainer to not only keep but add to my fitness.
