It is a really nice trainer

I really like this trainer, it works well and is a great workout. I bought this mainly to use with Zwift, I don't think I have used it as a standalone trainer. I purchased the yellow trainer tire with it and a mat to put under the setup. Everything is great, it works well and is a great work out.
The downsides are, a wheel on trainer is messy. There are yellow bits of trainer tire everywhere. I really wish someone had told me about this before I go the set up. The other issue is the calibration function doesn't work with Zwift. You have to ride to warm up the trainer, switch to Rouvy app, calibrate, then switch back to Zwift. Other that those issues, it is great, and hopefully last a long time.

Best antidote for Quarantine

I’ve ridden trainers at my bike shop’s computrainer performance center for years. Don’t know what brand they use but they are ancient. I bought this trainer when they shut down because of COVID19.
I love it, works great with or without the “smart feature”. Really quiet and a super smooth ride. The complimentary Rouvy membership was a nice addition. Candidly, I’m not a big fan or ERG video rides but I used it for library of workouts which resembled my computrainer classes. I also loved the fact you could create your own workouts.
No regrets on this purchase and I raved about it to my friends.

I've been using the trainer since January, mostly to ride an Zwift as I previously used a dumb trainer by Saris/Trek. My biggest complaint is the power readings when cranking up a virtual hill, and I've tried it on both Zwift and Sufferfest. If I get to a steep hill, over 10%, I have trouble maintaining any reasonable amount of watts. If I am in my bg gears, I can maintain almost 300 watts routinely, but if I get a lot of resistance from the unit, I have trouble maintaining 200 watts, and my HR zooms up near maximum fairly quickly. If I'm outdoors riding with a power meter, I can easily maintain twice the wattage as I can in the trainer when going up a steep simulated hill.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
