These knives do not have the blade thickness nor handle weight that I experienced in knives purchased in the early 1980's. I feel that I will snap the knife in a beefy carrot.

What a great set. For those that enjoy using a chef knife and a santoku, imagine the 2 had a baby. The rocking santoku would be your new bundle of joy. It rocks, it chope, it dices, it minces, it slices. It is amazing. The other knife included is equally as good. Great size, shape, weight. One of the best deals out there. Great gift for someone deserving of 2 great knives.

This is one of the coolest 2pc sets from Zwilling. The rocking santoku makes it fun and easy to rock or chop your food while its hollow edge divets help guide food up and off of the blade. And the quintessential prep knife is great for medium sized foods. The comfortable Four Star handles and long lasting edge sharpness make for a durable duo!

These two newer profile blades make a great combo. Rocking santoku for chopping, dicing and mincing and a prep knife for use as a paring/utility knife for smaller tasks. Good weight and comfortable molded handle.

Two of the much loved blade profiles in one set! I use these almost daily for meal prep and love the quality. German steel and made in Germany the Four Star line is a top seller world-wide. If you have never used a Santoku, get on this asap! They are so easy to use with meat, vegetables and fish. The hollowed out grooves on the Santoku give you easy release of whatevery you are working with. Also supports the rocking and the chopping motion using the entire blade.

I like the rock and chopper. It's a great hybrid style . the four star line is a super sharp German steel blade with a lot of balance. The curve in the bolster allows for full use and sharpening of this blade. the handle is smooth and comfortable

A rocking santoku so comfortable handle and light, so sharp for its cutting needs and a prep knife for smaller chunk of food a cook needs. For both knife, these two knives performs well to its precision-honed blade for sharpness and durability. It chops, glides and slice. Just a wonderful kitchen knives to have.
