I certainly enjoy these knives, and am pleased to see the block is self-sharpening. This prolongs the lifespan of the knives for sure! The block is heavy and sturdy, and I enjoy the fact that each spot has its own designation regarding which knife goes where. My only complaint would be the tips of the knives. I wasn’t aware just how pointed they would be, which just seems a bit dangerous for a novice cook like myself! So far, no accidents so I’m knocking on wood that my luck continues!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Set is great so far. Chose this for the (mostly) not made in China, and overall positive reviews. Nice and light, will it stand up to heavy cutting/chopping...we'll see. Don't know if the self-sharpening works well, but we'll see on that as well.
