Great toaster with a great counter appearance

Very happy with this toaster. With the extra wattage, toasting is relatively quick compared to cheaper brands. Browning evenness is about average, but better than most. What I like the most, however, is how high the carriage lifts the toasted bread when it is finished. With other brands I had to use tongs to grab smaller slices of Italian loaves, even with the extra lift handle. I have yet to use the extra lift with this toaster because even smaller slices lift high enough and are easy to grab without risking burning your fingers. I have owned a set of Henckels knives for years and I hoped that the quality of this toaster would be as good and I am not disappointed. Only owned it for less than a month, so I can't speak about durability, but so far it has passed with fling colors. After trying several different brands, I think I'm done searching for a toaster I am happy with.
