Long slot toaster doesn't toast the middle of the bread, it gets burned on both ends if you wait long enough to do the middle

Looks fine, but not a great toaster. I ordered this based on looks. Unfortunately the "silver" color is plastic, so it doesn't actually match other stainless steel appliances. More importantly, it's toasting is very uneven, so doesn't really qualify as a premium toaster.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am in love with this toaster! Thick, thin, or frozen, it toasts to perfection. Every. Single. Time. Plus, the handle is absolutely solid when pushed down. Never feels as if it will break off....as it does on some other toasters. An outstanding replacement for my 30-year old Krups.

Sadly disappointing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I looked forward to using my new toaster only to find out it's not toasting evenly and the inside burners don't seem to get as red as the outside burners. I'm guessing it's like a bagel setting.

Perfect for Artisan Bread Toasting

My household loves all the different artisan breads available and this toaster is perfect for toasting slices from these loaves. The slots are long enough to accommodate the longest single slice or two smaller slices in One slot, letting you toast four slices at once. Really impressed how nicely it toasts frozen breads...you would think you toasted fresh bread it does such a nice job. Love the sleek and modern design. And, a five year warranty is hard to find from a kitchen small appliance manufacturer.

great toaster

Ive been making a lot of homemade bread lately and my standard toaster did not accommodate rustic slices. This one is prefect. The long slots easily fit any size bread and multiples of smaller pieces. The browning is so even. The crumb tray is easy to remove and clean. I love the bagel setting as well giving more toasting to the inside and less on the outside. Everything comes out perfectly every time.

Toasts evenly, like the visual simplicity though with 4 pieces or both slots filled, there is now where for the water to escape, and markedly changes toasting time. Further, the toaster cannot toast in just one lot with the other turned off. I fail to see why the element in the center is shared with both slots, which heats a lot slower and at a lower temp. Overpriced for what you get.
