Quality blades and block. Looks good sitting on the counter. Knives are sharp. Not a fan of the serated edge on the chef and paring knives. May just take some getting used to.

I'm very happy with this knife set. The block is nice wood and has a small footprint. The knives have a nice weight to them and are comfortable to use. This set is very much worth the price.

Do NOT purchase! Cut sideways & very dull

The worst set of knives I have ever used. They do not cut straight. They are so dull and slip off of everything you try to cut. Do not waist your time or money. Awful!

Stay away from micro serrated blades.

Received these knives as a gift from my son after commenting on how much I thought his Henckels knives were some of the nicest knives I had seen. The difference is that his knives were not the micro serrated variety and he (erroneously) purchased these for my wife and I. These knives may work for some, but I find that the micro serrations just rip the meat in most cases. The large knife is near useless as a carving knife. I am not sure what the usage was designed to be.
In any case, stay away from the micro serrated blades and go for the regular blades.
