Great Size - Evenly Heats!

The tall height allows you to cook a large pot of soup without taking up the entire real estate of the stove. I really like the textured lid that helps the pot to distribute heat and steam build up evenly across the dish. It also looks great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It took me a long time to buy this pot. Because it is expensive. But when I bought it and used it, I found out why it was so expensive. It makes a much tastier stewed dish than my instant pot. And it looks great. You can put it on the table as it is and please your family.

Got it to make lamb tagine because my tagine is too small for the dinner party I was hosting. This cocotte did not disappoint. I was able to brown the lamb without burning or sticking and It’s capacity was exactly what I needed. Cleaning up was easy - Soap and water.

This 5-qt cocotte is pretty perfect for a couple or small family. It's small enough for cooking a pot of rice but also large enough for a pot of soup for 4-6.

This product looks to be the perfect size! I won't cook a large roast in it, but can imagine myself cooking delicious soups and stews – it's not huge which was my one worry.

Kitchen "editing" - time to choose

I purchased this 5 qt Cocotte in matte black. We used it for the first time to cook a pot of chili. It developed a beautiful thick sauce and the family thoroughly enjoyed it. This year I decided to "edit" my kitchen from the survival and donated dishes from my 20's to a kitchen full of bake and cooking tools I love. I now have an array of Staub bakewear and this beautiful pot. I am happy making food for my family with all the love and goodness Staub adds to my table.
