Rubber ring

Works ok. A couple of times it made a weird noise after running for a bit and I have no idea why. Not great for nuts but it was a gift, so I don't mind. Add nuts last when you are filling cup up so they are closer to blade. Also the booklet doesn't mention this but the rubber part of the blade base is detachable and you absolutely have to remove it to completely clean the device. Otherwise food stuff will definitely build up under it even if you think you thoroughly cleaned it. I do wish the cord was smooth so it was easier to clean.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bougie and Sleek

As a college student this blender is my favorite cause it's "small footprint", meaning doesn't take up too much space, not too loud, easy to clean/use. I prefer keeping my workspace clean and homey so I typically have a small expresso maker and a blender off to the side so that I can caffeinate and whip up a quick protein shake or breakfast smoothie o my breaks. The design is perfect and adds a little bougie flare to my workspace's drink/snack bar.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Blender has some issues .....

I have bought two of these blenders. In some ways it is good - but recurring problems are unacceptable. In each case the latch of the travel lid has broken almost immediately. How does this keep happening for a self-proclaimed "luxury brand" ??? This is a major design flaw. Once ok -- but twice ?? Come on. Also -- the base of the blender is small on the inside area and if you cup is too full it will easily leak and make the base a big mess with intricate areas that are almost impossible to clean. Another design problem ....
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
