An excellent machine. Would have deserved a five star rating except for the loud fan noise under load and a rather short battery life. Other than that, it handles any job with ease and speed. The screen is gorgeous, a beauty to look at. The keyboard is simply the best in the market. I would definitely recommend for professionals with demanding computing requiremnts.

Light, fast, bright screen (even the standard 300-nit screen is fine for me), good sound, great keyboard (as always with Thinkpads) etc, etc.
The only quibble is that battery life could be a tiny bit better, they say "14 hours" but I'm not sure how they get that much out of it. It's decent but it's not quite an "all-day" performer.
This will be my new daily machine for the next 3 or 4 years and I'm quite happy about it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Display is great, weight and dimensions are great.
Speakers facing down get muffled by legs when on lap. Fingerprint reader is hit and miss. Power supply is clunky and poorly-designed (how about a direct-to-wall option?) And what type of machine doesn't have a backlit keyboard in 2021?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

In all it is a quality machine, I a disappointed that the backlit keyboard is no brighter lit. I am also disappointed that it is not full keyboard with number pad!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Looks great, feels great. I am running windows 10 on it....I am not sure if is the hardware or the software but in high load I experience glitches, the os simply freeze for few seconds.
I had previously a P1, pretty much the same configuration, processor was two generations older...and the experience seemed smoother.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the OLED screen, the speakers are crisp and loud for their size. The keyboard is standard Lenovo, which means it is excellent. I did find that 16 GB memory is a bottleneck when using HDR on this machine in hybrid graphics mode. It seems to have a hard time switching to the GPU when streaming HDR content online and leads to choppy video and laggy performance overall. If you don't mind the battery hit, turning on discreet graphics only in the bios fixes the HDR issues. Another solution is upgrading the ram, I upgraded to 32 GB and HDR in hybrid mode works much better than with the original memory it shipped with, although still not perfect. I've used gen 2 for a few months before the gen 3, I can say that the gen 3 is better at power management and the fans remain quiet for longer periods. I would recommend this laptop to anyone looking for a slim and powerful machine.
