We have only had our dishwasher for about 6 months and it's already stopped working. Trying to reach someone is a nightmare.

Thank you for reaching out about your dishwasher. This isn’t at all the experience we want or expect for you as one of our valuable GE Appliances family members. We deeply apologize for the trouble reaching out and that your dishwasher has stopped working.
So that we may take a closer look into this, an agent will be reaching out via email to request some more information. We hope to hear back from you soon. -Gina@GEA
You get what you pay for. We are remodeling our house and didn't want to spend an arm and a leg for appliances so we bought the cheapest. It works fine, looks good, but it feels so 'low'...when you open the door and lower it and reach in to pull bottom rack out, it feels like you're a giant reaching down SO low...just feels weird..and I'm not all that tall. Don't like that there is not a button to push to release the door..you just pull and it feels like you're gonna pull the dishwasher out..even tough it's secured to cabinets. Overall...it's good...like I said..you get what you pay for and I paid for basic.
Easy to install and easy to operate. Selling point for me was the hard food grinder. Not a fan of having to constantly clean a dishwasher as I don't need another job. This fit the bill perfectly. Great price, and after first two uses, very happy with the results. Definitely reccpmend this dishwasher
YOUR HEATING FILAMENT IS NOT HOT ENOUGH, OR WONT STAY ON LONG ENOUGH. ANYTHING WITH AN INDENT, OR RIM STAYS WET. THE INTERIOR WALLS STAY WET TOO.

Hello- Thanks so much for sharing your review. We are sorry that your dishes aren't drying well. We can understand how disappointing this would be for you and want to help. For the best drying results do the following:
Check to make sure the water coming in to the dishwasher is 120 degrees F or higher. Use a rinse agent. A rinse agent will accelerate the drying process. Rinse aids help keep water from forming droplets that will dry into spots on the dishes. Check the level of the rinse agent tank periodically and refill as necessary. Use the Heated Dry Option. Using heated dry will turn on the heating element in the dishwasher. This will speed up the drying process although it will increase the overall length of the cycle.
Keep in mind that plastic dishes do not dry well in a dishwasher. The dishwasher will also not dry puddles of water that collect in the bottom of a glass or cup.
If you open the dishwasher at the end of the cycle and don't feel heat, there may be an issue with the heating element and we would recommend taking advantage of your warranty and reach out to GE Consumer Service at 1-800-432-2737. We hope this is helpful. Please let us know if you have any questions in the future. Thank you! Joyce@GEA
