This is a new dishwasher that was installed in the apartment where I live. It appears cheaply made and the door creaks loudly when opening it. The silverware basket is too small and the dish racks could be improved. The lower rack consistently falls off the track when rolling it out to load or pushing it back in. The control panel could be much better. It is quiet which is the only positive thing about it. This model definitely would not be my choice.

We want to help provide information on how to best utilize the space in your dishwasher racks and silverware basket, as well as explain the function of your lower rack. We recommend avoiding overloading the silverware basket and dish racks when loading your dishwasher. The lower rack is best suited for plates, saucers, and cookware. Larger items, such as broiler pans and baking racks, should be placed along the sides of the lower rack. For more information on properly loading the racks and silverware basket, please refer to pages 11–15 of your owner's manual: https://products-salsify.geappliances.com/image/upload/s--EszXjA26--/2ee1c206fc195cd1717cedf8b41e2ab95579670c.pdf. We also have an article on our website that provides additional dishwasher loading tips: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=19573. If you're experiencing difficulty with the racks sliding in and out, we have an article with helpful tips to improve rack operation: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content contentId=38988&_ga=2.18875579.20040398.1710168052-507723860.1707936747.
Once I got accustomed to my new GE Dishwasher, i am quite satisfied with its performance. Its efficient and does a great job of cleaning my dishes, pots, and pans. Thank you GE for a great product.
I just wanted to share my dissatisfaction of my new dishwasher. The lower rack rollers are spaced so close together that the rollers actually get wedged between the rollers and the roller tracks, and jams halfway into the machine. When the rack is loaded, it gets stuck, and your dishes fall out of the rack. what a terrible design. There is no way to adjust the rollers to prevent this from happening. I have become so frustrated with this, that I prefer to wash the dishes in the sink, old school style. Don't buy this machine. What kind of company doesn't test their product before putting it on the market? I can't believe they mass produce this piece of crap and actually put their name on it. Congratulations GE, you have cheapened your product so much, that it has become worthless. It easier to do the task manually. If GE had a rating less than 1, this machine would be there. If GE manufactures jet engines the way they make dishwashers, my flying days are over as well.

We'd like to help you with your dishwasher racks not sliding properly. We recommend making sure you are using a high efficiency detergent in a tablet or packet form. Additionally, check that the inlet water temperature is at least 120°F. This is the biggest piece of crap you can buy. This dishwasher is less than one year old, and the racks are rusted out, and the heater system is broken

Congratulations on your awesome dishwasher! It's wonderful that it's cleaning and working well. It's simple to use and gets the job done. And with the Piranha Hard Food Disposer, it lets you use your dishwasher without pre-rinsing dishes. It also has Active Flood Protect to prevent potential overflows and a Water Sensor Alarm cancels the wash cycle before a flood may occur!
We love the capacity and the way it cleans. It is quite and does a good job of drying the dishes.

One favorite feature on this model is it has "Active Flood Protect". We are happy that your dishwasher is cleaning well and operating at a low sound level. This dishwasher includes a Hard Food Disposer that will definitely come in handy. The Piranha Hard Food Disposer lets you use your dishwasher without pre-rinsing. Its stainless steel impellers rotate at 3,600 RPM to pulverize food particles and an anti-jamming design make sure wash arms stay unclogged. We hope that this dishwasher serves you well for many years to come. Happy cleaning!
