So far, so good

We bought this 2 months ago to replace a full size dishwasher that had quit. While skeptical of its size and ability, we have been amazed at its ability. It handles everything have tossed at it easily and does a great job! Its as quiet as the old broken one it replaced and maybe quieter. It dries the dishes perfectly too! One feature that sold us was the controls on the front. They work perfectly. And if you have watched or read the news lately, there are big problems with the models with the controls in the upper part of the door handle, which have been causing fires. The "old" standard controls are great and work perfect.

I chose this dishwasher for my new apartment in a retirement community. It's smaller than I anticipated and doesn't hold much.

Good,but plastic parts

We were replacing our old dishwasher which was a GE Profile.We were happy with it but it wore out.I wanted a GE dishwasher but the Profile came only in white and I wanted a black one.My disappointment was the plastic piece that holds the door shut,our former dishwasher was all metal.I hope this one will hold out,it cleans the dishes the same.

The dishwasher does a good job and is relatively quiet. It's only about 6 weeks so I am still working on the interior configuration for the basket etc. Good for a small space and small household.

Simple And Effective

Having an 18 inch dishwasher, there are fewer options compared to full sized machines. The GE Space Maker is the 2nd machine I've had and it's so far beyond it's predecessor. It's well built, with very intuitive controls, but most importantly it does a fantastic job cleaning the dishes.
The only downside is it's by no means a whisper quiet machine, but I'll happily trade noise for performance.
I would recommend this to a friend!
