Hi there,
Thank you for taking the time to provide a review on your new GE Appliances dishwasher. We are sorry to hear that the dishwasher is not drying your dishes. This model uses a calrod heater to dry the dishes, and you can also select "Dry Boost" to ensure dishes are thoroughly dry once the cycle is complete. If you continue to experience issues, we recommend taking advantage of the manufacturers warranty, and schedule an appointment with our factory service team by calling 1-800-432-2737, or by scheduling online at the following link:

Not a quality product.

Dishwasher makes very noticeable intermittent buzzing sounds during wash cycles. Panel on dishwasher makes a loud noise due to door panel vibrating off and on during the wash cycles. Dishwasher motor makes an irritating humming noise. The interior sides and the back of the door remain dripping wet at the end of the normal dry cycle. The dishes are dry but the dishwasher has be left open for several hours to dry after the dishes are remove. The dishwasher does clean well but the items mentioned cause it to be an undesirable product for the kitchen.

CHEAP & I DON'T MEAN PRICE!

GARBAGE! Why have a dishwasher if u HAVE TO DRY THE DISHES BY HAND? Even when I do dry them with a dishtowel, I'll come back & it's still wet inside did 2 condensation! My apt gave me this BRAND NEW 2 replace a LG that was 100% better but had stopped drying! I'd rather have my old 1 back than this 1! There's a note on the door of mine that says, "DON'T USE UNLESS READY 2 DRY BY HAND"! Guys its really CHEAP so don't waste your time! I told my apt mgr DON'T ORDER ANY MORE OF THESE! 👎 I have video after using & 2 days after where it's still soaking wet but no way 2 upload it!

We're sorry to hear that your dishwasher isn't drying the dishes properly. It’s important that the temperature of the water entering the dishwasher is at least 120 degrees. Lower temperatures can cause poor drying performance. You can find this information and further troubleshooting at this link below: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=17451
If the issue continues, we recommend scheduling an appointment with our factory service and repair team by calling 1-800-432-2737, or by visiting https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm

Racks have rusted… and are now damaging dishes!
on April 18, 2025

At first, I liked this new GE dishwasher (model# GDF450PSR3SS). While inexpensive, it was quiet, efficient, and cleaned the dishes to a shine (even lasagna pans and slow-cooker pots). But after a month, it began to slowly become louder, although the cleaning continued more-or-less unaffected.
Well, a few months later, I started noticing little red rust marks inside many of the dishes and silverware. I'd find myself wasting a lot of time closely inspecting "washed" dishes and re-washing or polishing them as necessary by hand. Eventually, I took a magnifying glass to the inside of the dishwasher, looked closely at the tines of the top rack, and realized the very top of many of the tines were rusting! I really had to look closely to see this! I then looked over the bottom rack and noticed weird imperfections (that looked like little indentations) on both the topside of the rack and underneath. And even more of the rusty-tipped tines!
Turns out that any such tines that touched the dinnerware pieces would transfer a single red speck of rust to that location. Annoyed, I learned to place tall items over those tines, and loaded silverware in a way that kept them as far from those areas as possible. This seemed to work okay, at least for a short while.
None of that matters now. Both racks are now consumed with rust. Those little indentations I saw on the bottom rack are all bubbled up, opened and rusty. It's disgusting. And I'm disappointed.

What a waste of components
on April 29, 2026

I just wanted to share my dissatisfaction of my new dishwasher. The lower rack rollers are spaced so close together that the rollers actually get wedged between the rollers and the roller tracks, and jams halfway into the machine. When the rack is loaded, it gets stuck, and your dishes fall out of the rack. what a terrible design. There is no way to adjust the rollers to prevent this from happening. I have become so frustrated with this, that I prefer to wash the dishes in the sink, old school style. Don't buy this machine. What kind of company doesn't test their product before putting it on the market? I can't believe they mass produce this piece of crap and actually put their name on it. Congratulations GE, you have cheapened your product so much, that it has become worthless. It easier to do the task manually. If GE had a rating less than 1, this machine would be there. If GE manufactures jet engines the way they make dishwashers, my flying days are over as well.

We'd like to help you with your dishwasher racks not sliding properly. We recommend making sure you are using a high efficiency detergent in a tablet or packet form. Additionally, check that the inlet water temperature is at least 120°F. You can find more information on the following article: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=38988
If the issue persists after troubleshooting, we recommend reaching out to our Bodewell service team at 1-833-426-3393 to schedule an appointment.

I bought this dishwasher about two months ago. I live in an apartment and have a galley kitchen that is very challenging when it comes to space. This dishwasher was the perfect size it's very quiet and it looks great too. It got me excited about cooking in my own kitchen again thanks GE.

This small dishwasher has a nice clean design that fits nicely in my kitchen and works well and quietly. However the inside racks are not well designed and dishes and pots do not stand securely.
