Mixed bag

The range is excellent, with very good control of the flame intensity and heated pots and pans well and evenly. The Oven is at best, two stars. The fan is horribly noisy and has generated a service call, with so far no part availabilty to fix this problem. The temperature control appears to have inadequate control of the temperature.

It is normal to hear the convection fan running. The cooling fan will turn on to cool internal parts. It may run after the oven is turned off. The convection fan may cycle on and off until the function is over or the door is opened.

Problems within first year

Oven won’t heat to temperature, had this range one year and already having problems. Not the quality you want for the price !!!

exhaust fan discolored our backsplash

We have ALWAYS used GE so in our new kitchen remodel this was a no brainer. I will warn people the back exhaust fan gets hot. It has discolored our “ heat resistant “ quartz backsplash in less than 4 months. I always cook or bake with the hood fan on but the heat is still a lot, it sits against the wall. We do not use this oven more than the average person, I would say less. I have not even used the broiler out of fear of the temps. Most people looking to buy this great looking stove most likely will have a nice backsplash. Just make sure your backsplash can tolerate a lot of heat. Stove otherwise works well and is nice looking.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
