Overall, I like the product. I had a different brand at another home and do thinkI preferred that one as it was without any crevices and easier to clean. I do not like the controls, the electronic, they are a bit picky and not as precise at the other induction range I had. I miss the extended lips on the sides of the range to prevent food going between the oven and counter. I also cannot use a small 0.5qt pan on the smallest unit as it does not register for the induction to work. ( melt butter or small amount of sauce) VERY disappointing. Again, not an issue with the other brand I had. The same problem exists if you want to connect the 2 burners for a larger griddle or oblong pan. Nope, unless it covers over 80% of the burners, you cannot use that option. So, it is worthless for me. I bought this one because it had better ratings. The reviews did not talk about the burner size restrictions of pans in order for the unit to work. I disagree with the ratings in my opinion. Would I buy it again, no.

Huge design flaw, so close to being the new goat

Huge design flaw. Wish someone would have tried to cook on multiple burners at once to see that you can't fit them. And the induction is so tempremental, trying to find 2 exact pots or pans is a nightmare. I'm actually taking a loss and replacing this with a dual fuel model. I hope GE can do something to help me out. Maybe donate this one to a food kitchen. If that was fixed, this product would be a 10/10. Although I miss being able to lift a pan and saute things, this was super easy to cook, clean, and maintain. If only you could use more than 2 burners at a time.

This section goes over the sizing of cookware that is needed and material. It is best to use cookware that fits within the burner ring. Stovetop appears to have failed <3 years old

Stovetop functionality has stopped working after 2.5 years. The whole slide in range has worked great up til now -- Wi-Fi connectivity has been the only bothersome item.

Ultra-modern oven

Some unnecessary bells and whistles

This is my second GE profile range and I like the induction feature particularly. I do find that there are several add-ons to this particular model that I find unnecessary. One thing I’m not crazy about is the need to connect to Wi-Fi. Another thing is the button in the center of the left front burner – – it ruins the aesthetic of the smooth top and makes it much more difficult to keep the top pristine. I would prefer to receive a written copy of the owners instructions instead of having to go online. I find the online copy awkward to use and time consuming to get to. I understand this is the trend however I do not like it!!

Nice, but good luck with internet connection

The oven and cooktop provides basic services but to access advanced features like precision cooking and air fry you need to connect it to the internet. After following the directions I could not get it to work. I called GE technical support. After 30 minutes following their directions the support person said it may be the device I was using (cell phone) I tried a different device (tablet) and another 30 minutes to find out that didn't work either. Then the support person said the problem was my internet. The current standard is a 4 or 5G connection, but the range only receives a 2.4G signal. Really, 2.4G was the standard about 5 years ago. I was advised to contact my internet provider. It would be easier to contact the international space station than my internet provider, but another hour later I finally got through. The support person understood the question and said I would need a "special modem" that would have both 5G and 2.4G outputs. (More money, by the way). However, this special modem will not allow one to use WiFi extenders which we need in our house. So, I now have to choose between internet in my home office (which is necessary) or a range that communicates with the internet. Buyer Beware. Make sure you understand what is needed to connect to the internet and ask lots of questions.

New install gives an error and extendable too big

I was really excited to get this top of the line induction range and converted away from gas.
The installation was flawless except:
* The installers tried to put in the extendable rack in any of the slots, but it didn't fit, and it scratched the finish on every slot they tried. Now I have scratches on all the slots of a brand-new oven and the extendable rack doesn't fit so that is trash. Not happy.
* After plugging in the range, I get that the oven power is mis-wired and in Demo mode. I pulled off the back plate and checked. The installer put the green ground and white on the same screw. I fixed it and plugged it back in. Still said mis-wired and demo mode and looked online says that demo mode means the range only see 120V. I checked with my voltmeter and see 118V on both terminals.
This did not work out of the box. 240 V going into the range but still says demo mode. Dinner is take out tonight. I had a wonderful menu planned but that will have to wait.
I am going to schedule service call, but this should not happen on a brand-new appliance.
