These earphones just arrived and I use them wiyh my Ipad at night so that I won't disturb my spouse.

The sound is stunning. The ear bud snug to the ear. Only complain is the sound control is too high up on the right ear cable. It could have been in the split section for easy find and control. However, with the low price I can't complain.

The sound from the headphones is great but I have to continuously push them back into my ears because the rubber pieces don't stay put. Maybe if they were made of earplug/memory foam type material they would stay in ear better.

i bought these as replacements for my monster turbines i was shocked that the harman headphones buds had great clear bass and sound. great for watching movies.

The value proposition at it's MSRP of 100 bucks is just not there. I got these on super sale for about 19 bucks, and at that price they are worth it. I'd say they are probably worth it up to around 40, maybe 50 bucks.
This set skews very bright, the high end is a bit over-accentuated. The low end is there, but not terribly strong - though the mids are quite clear. The sound stage is an interesting one as instruments, depending on pitch/tenor, tend to sound somewhat separate. This gives a focus and clarity to each one, but given this the music end up a bit less cohesive. On things like my iPod Touch and Note 3, I've had the best luck with messing with equalizers to dampen the high end a bit and accentuate the low end.
Comparing these to Sennheister CX300's (35ish dollar headset on sale), the Sennheiser's are a bit more balanced, though somewhat muddier overall. The mids on the HK's are clearer, while the bass on the CX300's hits a bit harder while keeping the treble in check. Overall I'd say these headphones are a bit better than the Sennheisers, but only at the right price. Around 40-50 bucks or so, I can safely recommend these. However, the more the price climbs, the harder it would be to give a thumbs up to.
Keep the sound stage properties on these in mind and check them against your preferences. If you need a lot of lower end to be happy, it's probably best to look elsewhere. They are good but not great, but considering they are competing in the lower-ish end of the pricing scale (at least when on sale), they match up to their peers pretty well.
