Inky Blacks, Incredible Color, HDMI 2.1 and More!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A truly beautiful television, from its design and build quality to the gorgeous display, to its integration with other Samsung devices. A real win for Samsung. Delivery was on time , professional, and appropriately socially-distanced. Box was very sturdy, and the screen, along with its accessories were all packed very securely inside. I was easily able to position the set on a soft surface by myself, and to attach the sturdy middle-mount base by myself. There were just four screws, and I had it together within minutes. Though I was able to lift the set by myself to put it on the shelf, it would probably be better to have a helper for that step, and definitely if you're going to be wall-mounting. There are a few well-thought-out channels/grooves molded into the back of the set through which the power cord can be routed so it is flush/hidden entirely. The base of the stand also includes a plastic shroud that the wire can be routed through so it's completely hidden.
The controller is deceptively simple in design, but incredibly functional. There are unobtrusive buttons for the most-popular streaming services, including Samsung TV Plus. It also has a built-in battery that recharges via -- get this-- ambient light. That's right, no more replacing batteries. The microphone button gives you one-touch access to any of the *three* digital voice assistants available on this TV ( Amazon's Alexa, Google Assistant, and Samsung's own Bixby). Oh...if you don't want to use the included controller, you can also perform all of these operations from your Samsung phone.
Initial system updates were extremely quick over wifi, and I was able to connect my streaming accounts within a few minutes using the linking codes shown on the TV. Right after that, I was sampling gorgeous 4k video streams for the next couple hours. The wifi reception on this set seems really good. I have it located two rooms away from the router (that's four walls in between) and on youtube videos it would hold streams of 130+mbit/sec without any buffering or stuttering video. It is truly a joy.
The blacks on this display are very inky, and the brightness is simultaneously impressive. I will be attaching my Xbox One X for some gaming tonight, and perhaps i'll update my review then. Did I mention there are *four* HDMIi ports, including a HDMI 2.1 port? This thing is future-proof, and I'm in love. Definitely recommend you pick one up.

Worth the wait

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After much delay, I finally received my 65" Q80A QLED TV from Samsung. And yes, it was worth the wait. The TV is fantastic. So far the best TV I own so far. It is super thin with an almost non existent bezel that makes this all screen. And the picture on this screen is amazing! I've only had it for a short time but off the bat I could see the superb quality of the picture. Setting the TV up was a breeze. The extremely sturdy and hefty stand is very minimalist and comes in 2 parts and screwed in. Turning it on immediately starts the setup. After following the prompts for a few minutes you're all set and even have multiple channels of programming. Samsung TV channels are a bonus. Some great programming and some nostalgic old shows were great to see on this big screen. You really can just plug this in and start watching TV. One of the channels was in 4K and the colors jumped out at you. So vibrant and realistic. I attached a picture of scene and it looks like a window! Sound quality is great. I'm still playing around with it so I haven't experienced the object tracking sound, I'm not sure if I have to turn it on or was so blown away by the picture I didn't notice. I'm extremely satisfied with this product and will be building my theater experience around this. I know some people have complained about the remote and it does take some getting used to being so small and less intuitive than other remotes. I love the fact that it can be charged with solar-power.

Not a well made TV

we didn't notice there was an issue until we watched a movie at night in the dark. in black scenes, there were gray blocks and even during very white scenes there were still gray blocks. picture is good except for the grayish blotches, we just couldn't live with it for the price we paid. also, it's pretty bulky, not a thin model, not sure if it's because it was the 85".

This Tv like most Samsung TV's are really bad, slow frame rate and color isn't sharp like they say. Get your moneys worth and buy anything else.

Bright colors, Great sound, Wonderful TV!

I've had this TV since May 2022, and I'm more than satisfied with it. The colors pop, sound is great and there is a wide variety of free content to watch besides the paid ones. Samsung TV plus is loaded with movies on demand and there is new content constantly being added. Also new apps being added too. I'm coming from an old 27" Panasonic Tau, so yeah, this a major upgrade and well worth it too. No regrets!

Amazing Picture & Sound! Poor Interior Design¡
on November 26, 2022

TV made a low zinging noise out of the box. Picture was amazing and everything worked great so I mounted it and didn't think anymore of it. For the next 9 months or so this TV gave me such beautiful gaming and viewing experiences. Then one day I turned it on to find internal damage had occurred to the panel. I'm the sole user and never had any physical interaction to cause any damage. There are no blemishes, indentations, scratches or any visible imperfections on the screen nor the outer factory plastic that would suggest physical contact. It is a heavy TV so maybe there was a pressure from inside, or perhaps the panel or other left the factory compromised. Not to the degree to fail your process, but enough to be a faulty product that would prove an inability to provide a decent shelf-life. Out of the millions and millions of products Samsung makes surely there will be some defects, but the only response I got from chat was "there is physical damage." 1 year warranty starts from when your distributor bought your TV, not you. No manager, no ticket escalation, no progression leading to a solution. Instead I found multiple agents that work for you with an agenda of their own. Phish info in an effort to scam unsuspecting Samsung customers. I don't mind I received a defective unit, but when I reach out for help and find a portion of your "experts" with no desire to help me but the desire and intent to steal from me, you can imagine how that makes me feel.
