The picture is especially impressive when it comes to gaming. The detail, lighting, saturation. All of its well designed features truly enhance not only a TV experience but really bring out the best out of a thebgaming experience.

Time for some thing New

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When looking for 55" TVs there are many out there to look at. When I got a chance to see the Samsung 55" Q80A I was blown away by how far the supper thin screen TV have come. The brightness and color contrast were amazing. I was hope with a QLED but when I saw the difference that the Matrix LED lighting made. Super sharp color next to nearly complete black. The Gaming mode was a great selling point for future next Gen consoles. Not the fastest refresh rate available but a vast emprovement to be able to see vital game statistics on the screen.
High definition Content looks amazing and smooth. Have not gotten a chance to see a difference in HDR content.. And with upscaling even standard definition old shows have a breath of fresh new life. I enjoy watching my old favorite show so much more now.
I liked that they brought back the functionality of pictures in pictures with a new twist that you can Show information from your phone. So you can be watching a show and seeing your chat with friends at the same time. I haven't had the opportunity to see if I can run 2 shows side-by-side or or watch sporting event and commentary.
If you are looking to get a new television do yourself a favor and get a sound bar or surround sound system. Although the speakers on the TV are amazing that they reflectThe action on the screen by changing where the sound is coming from it still does not compare with the emergency that better sound comes with.

Crisp Clear Color

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are many features with this TV, every day I plan to teach myself how to use a feature new to me. Yesterday I decided to set up the sleep timer. Today I will go to YouTube to watch and possibly learn from tutorials. Found the menu for this task, however was not able to complete the setup. Not sure why.
Watch general cable TV, however will try streaming services; I like movies.
Will not use TV to shop, read email etc.
Clear, crisp color is available only when it is transmitted from the network. In the store, I noticed this model TV did not have glare. However I have the TV in my living room and there is a certain amount of glare; have tilted the TV to a different angle. I will take that up with Samsung and the vendor who installed this TV.

Thank you for choosing Samsung's Q80A TV and for sharing your experience thus far. I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing difficulties in completing setup. Please try the following steps:

- If you haven't already, ensure your TV is connected to the Internet.
- If your TV is already connected via Wi-Fi, you may want to try using a LAN (Ethernet) connection to complete setup.

If you cannot complete setup via Wi-Fi or LAN connectivity, please download the latest firmware update (Ver.1805.4) on a USB drive and manually update your TV:

1. On Samsung's website (upper right corner), go to: Support > Manuals & Software > Find your TV model.
2. Download the update and extract it to the root of a USB thumb drive. (Do not put it in any folders on the thumb drive.)
3. Connect the USB thumb drive to a USB port on your TV.
4. Navigate to Settings > Support > Software Update, select Update Now, and then select Yes.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the updated software.

We appreciate your feedback regarding screen glare, as well. The light conditions of each room environment are different. For optimal glare control, we recommend positioning the TV to minimize incident light falling on the screen or consulting a professional installer.
