[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This little speaker packs a punch! An amazing sound from such a small package. I have an older JBL Rumble, which is basically boom-box size, and the flip 5 can give a run for it's money. Wanted it to take camping, and for bike rides (fits in a bottle holder), but this thing sounds so good it also got upgraded to our "Patio Party" speaker. Small, light, and people can't believe that all that sound is coming from that little package! Also great that it is water resistant, and it connects seamlessly to Bluetooth. Might have to get another one to take advantage of the party feature of linking another speaker to it with just the touch of a button. Great job JBL -- another winner.

Another great portable speaker from JBL

The buttons for controls are easy to access
Function: The sound is comparably with Bose. It is very easy to use and understand.
Style: I really love the style of this speaker! The hand strap is very useful and the knot at the end of the tie is beautifully orchestrated. You can tell a lot of thought was put into this product. The loop may be a little small to hang around large hands, but it works perfectly for mine. You can also hang it from anywhere. The color I received was blue and has sleek design which fits in your hand perfectly.
Packaging for this product was impressive. The carrier that holds the unit is well made and the outside container was attractive and not over done so it makes me happy that there are not excessive packaging as you see with competitors.
I also like the fact that it is waterproof so I can take it anywhere! I can't wait to use this on my camping trips!

Cuts out consistently

Purchased for Christmas 2019. Today is June 22, 2020. For 3-4 months now the speaker has been cutting out intermittently for 1-4 seconds with any device I pair the Bluetooth to. The speaker has NOT been dropped on the floor, dropped in water, left in the rain, etc. It is always kept charged, but it still keeps cutting out, making it unusable. I must have gotten a lemon, since I see so many good reviews.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Needs to connect to older systems

I bought this speaker hoping to connect to my flip 4 and found out it’s a different system very disappointed will be returning.

Flip 5 eco amazing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the jbl flip 5 very promptly. The sound quality does not disappoint as with any jbl product I own. Have dropped it in the lake sound was a little distorted because of the water in the mesh a quick shake fixed that.. was a bit worried about the charge port being exposed but no problems there... The battery life is just as reads maybe a bit longer honestly... Over all very happy with the flip 5 eco
