Complete any party with the JBL Flip 5

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not all bluetooth speakers are created equal. JBL’s new Flip 5 bluetooth speaker is packed full of JBL’s quality sound as well as some great features making it a top performer. I love the size of the JBL Flip speaker. It is about 7” long and about 2.5” - 3” round, or almost round. Don’t let the small size of the Flip 5 fool you, it sounds incredible laying flat or standing vertical on either end. The legendary JBL sound that comes from this baby is nothing but astonishing. It has powerful bass that you can actually feel with plenty of power to drive crystal clear music that will get any party started. With it’s waterproof design, 12 hours of playtime, and all the very cool vibrant colors, this is the perfect bluetooth speaker to take with you on any adventure, rain or shine. With JBL’s Party Boost you can connect two Party Boost compatible speakers for a more complete stereo sound. You can also link multiple Party Boost speakers for a larger party. Easy bluetooth 4.2 connections, to two devices at the same time, can provide continuous music playing from two different sources to keep the party hopping. This is one of the most versatile, best sounding, and feature filled bluetooth speakers I have ever owned. I highly recommend this speaker to everyone who loves to take their music with them on their daily adventures.

I have owned many bt devices...I am always on the move and I find myself in or near water quite often..this JBL is by the far the loudest, toughest and most loved or wanted by all friends and family around ! GOOD STUFF ! JUST BE LOUD !

Great Sounding Speaker - But Hates older speakers

I am the purchaser of multiple JBL speakers - i have bought a JBL Flip4 for EVERYONE i know. I have an entire crew i ride bikes with, and for christmas I bought them all the JBL Flip 4s because of the connect plus feature. This allows multiple speakers to sync and play music all at once. GREAT FEATURE!!! LOVED IT! Everyone could jam to the same tune. AMAZING
However, I recently had my flip 4 stolen and could only find a flip 5 in a pinch, so i purchased this model. It sounds great, has a little more punch than the 4, however, JBL decided to abondon connect + for an "all new feature" which leaves my new speaker high and dry when listening to music with everyone else.
Everyone else can connect, but the new feature does nothing for legacy speakers. It is poor to just abondon a protocol for a new protocol with no REAL heads up. I also assume somehting could be done to account for someone who has purchased multiple speakers with the old protocol.
This is the biggest reason for the poor score, its not the speakers fault, it does sound great, but something that was so important to me is changed without better messaging. So if you own legacy products with connect+, avoid all new JBL products. I am trying to find a used JBL flip 4 now.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best quality for your money. Speaker can get as loud as you need it to and has a sleek looking appearance! Should’ve bought it a long time ago.

Great Customization & The sound is Amazing!

I bought this with my logo on it is awesome. The print quality is great and couldn't be more satisfied. I've had the flip 4 for many years and the Flip 5 sounds more RICH. The only negative thing i could say is the charger cable for this is different than anything else that I own. So you will have to bring a special charging cable with you.

Speakers are great; the app is terrible

I bought two Flip5s because we want music in stereo in our small living space. I got the app to allow stereo sound for about two minutes before it reverted to just Partyboost mode. Not a bad sound, just not a stereo sound. The speakers themselves as a stand-alone product are pretty great for Bluetooth. Nice round sound with a bit of bottom.
I would give 5 stars if the app didn’t suck so much, and by that I mean it sucks so much.
