This is a great speaker, but each time I use it, it takes over a minute for my phone to connect to the speaker through bluetooth And the sound breaks. When I’m listening to music on the speaker with my phone, the sound continues to break. I don’t think the speaker is going to last long and it was expensive! The Bluetooth connection is horrible and it gets worse every time I use it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I just bought this speaker because my flip 3 finally stopped working on me. The sound on the flip 5 is ok. I’m honestly a little disappointed. I figured being 2 generations newer, the sound would be better, but I personally think the flip 3 had a better range with highs and lows. I’ve also noticed with the flip 5 that if I turn it up louder, I notice distortion in the sound. Maybe a firmware update will fix the problem.

It sounds and looks amazing, I would give it 5 stars if it floated on water.. battery stays charged forever too

I was going to buy the JBL Flip 4 because it was cheaper and had stereo sound, but USB-C was very important to me. I'm disappointed that it's so expensive and doesn't have stereo sound or Bluetooth 5.0. However, the battery life is amazing, I can get 18+ Hours of listening at 25% volume, which is loud enough for most uses. Overall, it's a very good speaker, but it had so much potential to be the perfect speaker.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What happened?

Why, after using this new Flip 5 three or four times would it stop charging or playing? No light when plugged in. Dead as a doornail.

Great sound but battery is junk

Bought customize JBL flip 5 about a month now and it sounds amazing but only issue is the battery life...3 different times I played music ...it lasts only for 4 hours to 5.5 hours turns off....I was like not ko....not sure where they got up to 12 hours...should stated up to 6 hours...other than the battery issue...it's a ok Bluetooth speaker

Best speaker ever

I have it for one year and I am so happy because The sound is clear with big boom bass and it survived my adventures and party so this is The BEST SPEAKER EVER
