Great Bluetooth Speaker !

It connects to my Window mobile device, Windows 10 PC and Android devices with no flaws. This portable speaker is the right size to use while on the go and delivers a power smooth sound to the listener(s). I love it. Great Job JBL !!!

Light in Weight, Heavy in Bass

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upon opening the packaging, I was instantly mesmerized at its light weight. Once connected to bluetooth, it blew me away with its raw sound and powerful bass. Amazing product to add to my JBL collection.

Big punch from a small speaker!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Speaker is heavy duty! It survived a fall into my pool and a roll down a hill on our offroad trip. Battery lasted as advertised 12 hours and took around two and half hour to charge full. Bass is tight without being overblown or sloppy, clean midrange without distortion and highs never got out of control, over great sound and volume. Perfect size and solid sounds for on the go situations.

My new go-to portable speaker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Use: I use this speaker mainly at the beach on the weekends. Being at the beach, I've handled it with wet hands, so I definitely needed a waterproof speaker. I've used it on 3 Beach trips and I have to finally charge it. So it's been maybe 8-9 hours?
Design: It feels really durable! A little on the heavier side, but that helps make it feel more sturdy. The rubber is very smooth, grips nicely, and feels nice to hold. The headphone jack was taken out going from the flip 4 to flip 5. It doesn't affect me as much because I typically work with the Bluetooth connection but it was an interesting design note. I did wish the USB-c charging port came with a protective flip cover though. That would be a nice small detail to have especially for people using it at the beach or outdoors.
Sound: The volume goes up pretty loudly and the bass is really nice and clear. The sound is balanced and travels well against the waves/wind at the beach. Excited to use it in my house and at the pool!
Connections: super easy to connect to my Google pixel 2 phone. The Bluetooth was not upgraded to 5.0. I haven't had the need to connect multiple speakers in tandem so I haven't encountered issues with the connect/connect+/party boost connectivity issues, but may be something to consider in the future when upgrading speakers. May just buy multiple of the same ones.
Connections: super easy to connect to my Google pixel 2 phone. The Bluetooth was not upgraded to 5.0. More Power, Bigger sound!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JBL Flip5 is slightly bigger than it's predecessor Flip4. What you get is a bigger battery that last longer with more power. You also get a bigger sound. I love the fact that these series are water proof if you want to sit by the pool side or take it to the beach.
You also can take phonecalls via bluetooth.
The usb-c charge feature is good if you have the newer android phones or newer macbook pros the cords are interchangeable.
Great bluetooth speaker. I havent used the new party mode but willing to get another one to try! won't regret this purchase.

This speaker is so loud I love it!! Sound quality is amazing also... the only thing that I would change about it is that I would like if there was a skip button on the speaker!!

No "Party Link" between only one generation?!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this speaker for a few weeks now after being a long time user of the JBL Flip 4. I've got to say that to me the audio quality is noticeably superior. I'm old school, so the auxiliary cable port is definitely missed.
I got it in solid red. I would have preferred some of the funky special edition offerings the Flip 4 offered.
I use it in the shower all the time, so the water proofing is legit.
One last major flaw I could think of: I haven't been able to use the super awesome "party link" feature between my new Flip 5 and my older Flip 4! It's either that I havent figured it out (which is entirely possible) or that JBL decided to not implement the compatibility, which is a definite souring point coming from a long time JBL customer with a collection of their products throughout the years.

Thanks for enjoying our sound and for the helpful review! JBL Flip 5 is designed with the Party Boost feature. This is an improved version of the JBL Connect+, which improves the Bluetooth reliability of inter speaker connections. It's not backwards compatible with JBL Connect or Connect+, therefore it's not possible to connect it with your Flip 4. For more information about our JBL Flip 5 check out the specification section.
