Beware of design

I didn’t get the design I wanted and instead of telling me it wouldn’t work. They just sent the basic design without telling me.

Terrible Bluetooth- save your money

Terrible Bluetooth reception, it gets worse if you buy another to hear in stereo(there is only 1 speaker vs 2 on my old charge2+. Bluetooth so bad i ditched the flip 5’s and fixed my old charge2+…. These flip 5’a total garbage without good Bluetooth-save your mone, i wish i didn’t fall for the sale prices. No wonder these go on sale all the time.

Stay away from the Flip Series of Products

Flip 4 and 5 Reviews. Over a four year period I purchased two Flip 4’s and one Flip 5 Waterproof speakers. This will be short and not so sweet. My Flip 4 I loved everything about it! Great sound, portability and easy to sync! I had it about a year and bought another, Flip 4 for home and one for the cabin. Shortly after I bought a Flip 5 Waterproof then for our trailer. Within the next year both Flip 4’s would play for about less the an hour and it would shut off. I would turn them back on and the they’d shut off with 10-15 minutes! The identical symptom of playing fine then shutting down occurred then for my Flip 5 Waterproof! I use to be a major fan JBL products but no more! My first JBL speaker was a pair of JBL 100’s in 1977 and I gifted them to my son and he still has them and they sound great! However this experience taught me to never purchase another JBL product. My recommendation is to stay away from Flip products.

Bluetooth has broken after only a year of use!

After a little over a year of use, the bluetooth no longer works. It powers on and off normally with all the usual sounds but when on, only the power button lights up, the bluetooth button neither lights up nor works at all. I've tried all the different types of restarts and combinations of button pressing to no avail. From what I've seen online is that there isn't much of a fix but maybe I haven't looked hard enough.

We appreciate your feedback. We hear you, and we're here to help. Please do a factory reset. Turn on the speaker. Press and hold "Volume +" and "Play" for more than 3 seconds. The speaker will turn off and reboot to factory default. You may need to 'forget' the speaker in Bluetooth settings on your phone or tablet in order to pair it again. For further assistance, please contact us.

Amazing

It's definitely an amazing speaker, I love everything about it of course the only negative thing about it is no Aux & Mono sound
I would recommend this to a friend!

Android App does not play stereo mode

iOS JBL App plays Stereo mode with two Flip 5’s Android app only plays Party/Mono mode.
They sound great but without stereo mode on my Note 9 I'm disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
