Battery not as advertised

Bought the flip 5 last week. I will be returning it as the battery did not even last a full round of golf (5hrs) at max volume.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was incredibly impressed with this speaker. It was shockingly loud, with solid build quality and the packaging and design of the product being from recycled material just makes you feel good about it. I couldn’t believe the put out this speaks has. It was incredibly loud and more than loud enough to get the party rolling in my backyard and front yard depending on where we were.
What might be extremely important to note, my wife usually hates when I am auditioning something new, and she’s never impressed. This time around she was extremely happy, and pleased. She sat with me for an hour and jammed out. She wanted to chose the songs and hear how they sounded on it. She thoroughly enjoyed it.
Connectivity is very good and quick, and the battery lasts a very long time. The build quality is really impressive!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

How is it an improvement to offer fewer features and capabilities? I would love to see your market research that says your customer base wants devices with LESS functionality!

No Microphone = No speakerphone

You can't make downgrades without saying it. I had the Flip 4 and it was obvious that it would have a microphone.

Excellent sound quality from a very small speaker, got it today , Superbbbb...
Only negative side is no AUX IN but this is 2019 ...no more wires....
Fantastic speakers..must have...if you are planning to buy one , please dont think twice.

partyboost not compatible with connect+

seriously how about connect+ speakers be updated to partyboost so we would connect the speakers we have like flip 4, charge 4, extreme 2, pulse 3, boombox,etc. so we can connect to the newer speakers like the flip 5 and pulse 4

The Party Boost of our JBL Flip 5 is an improved version of the JBL Connect+, which improves the Bluetooth reliability of interspeaker connections. Due to hardware differences, it isn't backward compatible with the JBL Connect+ which your JBL Flip 4 and all other speakers that you've mentioned has.
