[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Alien DJ Beatbox is a fun interactive toy my boys like it a lot. They sit and make videos. It has 16 special effect beatbits with it, which i think is great they get to choose what they want to do. I like that it has its own little storage box so we can keep everything together. Overall this is a great legos set.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really great concept for a lego toy. My kids were really excited when they saw it. First, the mini-figure is super cool and creative. They also loved all of the little Beatbits. Using the app to make it come to life was the icing on the cake - they loved the interactive element. Definitely a fun, different take on Legos.

Probably the most constructive use of "phone time"

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got a Vidiyo set for the kids to use during downtime during a youth sporting event. It was perfect for that application, and the kids had a blast making videos with the Alien DJ. Song selections seemed "current' (I'm not an expert in pop music), and the effects that could be added to the recorded video seemed pretty neat. As Lego sets go, the construction portion was very easy, but the replay value of the video creation seems long lasting.
Note: for me, the mobile companion app required 200+ MB of "updates" after the initial download, so plan ahead if you are not on wi-fi for that.

Fun little toy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My ten year old had fun putting this together and playing with it. He loves that there's a lot he can do with the app and enjoys making him dance. The only issue we have had iss the app likes to freeze on us quite a bit, which can be frustrating. But he's really enjoyed it. His 6 year old brother now wants one!

Cute and super fun to put together!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids have been into legos and puzzles lately. I have an 8 year old and a 3 year old. They both loved the unique character of the Alien! It was average to put together which took about 15 minutes top together. Very interactive when operating it through the app on the phone. Comes to life! Up for a brain challenge, this would be great for kids.

Interactive and Creative Play Time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My little guy is 6 1/2 years old. He put the Lego Set together himself without too much trouble. I did supervise him but didn't prompt him with directions very often. That said, the Lego Set itself was fairly easy to put together. Once that was complete, I downloaded the app and that was a bit more complicated. Not the download but trying to figure out how to use it. Once I got it figured out and taught my little guy how to use it, he really enjoyed it. The tiles really help with the creativity of making different music. I think he's still learning all the features but is very interested in the new Lego BeatBox so he's be a DJ before we know it!!
I would recommend this to a friend!
