Let me start by saying that I am very happy with the unit itself. It keeps my cigars nice and cool, which is good because I live in the western states where it can get pretty hot. Also, the humidity keeps pretty well. Because it is mostly metal and not wood, it was easy to season. Now let me get to the stuff that I did not like particularly. The wood shelving is not very sturdy or well constructed. It comes with little nails, which some of them were already on fastened. Not a big deal, I took care of that myself, and even used a little bit of glue to make sure that it did not come apart again. But, for something that costs this much money, I would expect not to have to deal with that. The hygrometer sits at 99% for me. It's broken and I need it to be replaced. At first I just thought that there was just a lot of humidity, but then I thought to myself, it shouldn't be that high. I was correct. I did call the manufacturer and they are going to send me out a new one. But again, this should not be a problem that I should be dealing with. Other than that, it is a great unit and has a lot of space for the cigars that I have. It's a good display piece, which is what I use it for in my front room. That way when people come over, they can take a look at my collection. The light doesn't work very well inside, really just lights up the top shelf, but it's very dim. Not a big deal. I don't use the key either. Some people I think would like that, maybe people with kids that could get in and tamper or steal the sticks.

First off, I love opening the door to the aroma of the Spanish Cedar Shelves . . . The unit is strong and well-built. It's like a mini-tank! Every think feels high end and operates as you'd expect. The control panel is very sleek and easy to use. I love the stainless steel look with the glass front. For me, this is a well-sized unit as well. It fits well on a counter and the gives me a ton of room to add to my collection. And of course, it holds the humidity to ensure my cigars last. And the subtle touches really make this unit special. The lock to ensure kids (or friends!) don't mess with my cigars is a must-have. The interior light helps put the unit on display and reminds me to find time to slow down and enjoy a cigar.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've had the unit for 4 months now and it is performing well! The fan does a great job at circulating air throughout the unit and through the slats in the draw and shelves, which keeps the humidity and temp. within your desired range. A real plus is the new digital hydrometer in the draw...it actually came perfectly calibrated as I checked it twice with the salt method and Boveda calibration bag.

I am now 100% sold on Newair products. There are only good things to say aside from the fact that the hygrometer needed a replacement battery and there was a leg missing from the product. Customer service has been extremely helpful in sorting these issues out and despite these factors, I can easily rate this a 5/5.

I just set up my humidor. It's seems to operate fine I was hoping it had an extended warranty offered but apparently not, that's my biggest disappointment with the product. Everything else seems fine.

I recently purchased a 250 count cigar humidor, and was excited to set up and get it ready. All the reviews I read were all positive. It really is a nice unit. But, unfortunately the temperature setting is way out of wack. I wanted to maintain a temp of 70deg, and to achieve this the unit must be set at 73deg! A 3 degree difference! I placed two thermometers in the unit which both read the same 69.5 degrees, while the unit was set at 73. I contacted customer support who said the unit is working normal if it's within 5 degrees! I was speechless. How do you maintain expensive cigars with a temperature control that far off??!!
