Disappointed!

Had to have it serviced within the first few weeks, so noisy, and the wash cycles are too long!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this dishwasher almost a year ago, and I have not had any problem with it at all.

I can't wait to replace it.

Here I am again.... Wrote a complaint here 10 months ago (search for How did I buy this terrible machine???) and the GE tech people contacted me, very nice people, sent out repairman to adjust the heat cycle. Wasn't that excited about the repairman trying to tell me the incoming water temp was too low but he was surprised to find the Heat Boost button on the controls after I pointed it out.... That ought to deal with any incoming H2O temp issues.
But that's not why I'm here again. This machine was been a battle (as opposed to my prior GE DW of 13yrs) to get the dishes cleaned. Now the soap dispenser door will not open during the normal cycle. I tend to forget about babysitting this kind of machine (it is supposed to be load and forget process) so after its cycle (which has always been a long time) I open the door to find the soap dispenser door closed (!) and the dishes not only not washed but any food remnants left (it's never been that good at cleaning) are now baked on after the longer heat cycle that was programmed in. The soap dispenser issue has gone on for a few months intermittently but it a regular issue now. Good grief! How did GE go from making a machine installed in 1999 (rip 2013) that I bragged about to this?
So disappointed... not looking good for GE on my next purchase (which will most likely be soon to replace this DW.) John... waiting on another repairman to fix this piece of junk.

I have never been so disappointed with an appliance. This was my first brand new dishwasher, so I wanted to go with a good name brand. The utensil container falls off almost ever time I load dishes. It is not well designed for loading and the inside racks seem cheap. The one good point is it's very quiet. I would not recommend this product. I am so frustrated that I can't exchange for a Bette one.

Very quiet

Had the washer for ~1month now. Replace 20+ year old GE PotScrubber 900. The new unit is very quiet and cleans the dishes but takes a long time. Heated drying without a rinse aid is poor. Even with a rinse aid heated drying does not dry the silverware and the inner door panel. We don't normally use heated drying anyway but wanted to make sure it worked. Baskets for silverware are awkward and bigger silverware won't fit unless the lid is left open - will probably remove the lids. Upper & lower baskets are roomy but too uniform. Not easy to fit oddball items like bowls & deep dishes. I bought the install kit & cord but ended up returning them. Cord from existing unit was fine. Install kit had the right parts BUT the water supply line was a polymeric flex line which would have required routine replacement (5yr recommendation). I chose to use flex copper instead for longevity.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's ok, but not real impressive. Dishes are clean but really wet even when using the heated dry setting. Racks are real flimsy.
