poor design

I now have a crack in the front on my appliance, 2 weeks out of warranty. Right where you pull to open the door. Now I'm stuck with an expensive appliance for many years to come with a crack that will only get bigger, I'm sure.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Cleans Dishes Very Well

I bought this dishwasher 9 months ago. I LOVE unloading the dishwasher because the dishes are actually CLEAN! My glass dishes dry very well. Plastic dishes don't dry as well, but that is normal with any dishwasher. All I care about is whether or not the dishwasher washes the dishes, or not. This one does a fantastic job. I let my dishes air dry (I live in Tucson, AZ, so that is not hard to do here, and it saves me time and money.) There was one time that my dishes came out all gunky, and that was because I put in a large mixing bowl that had a ton of bread dough stuck to it, and all that dough clogged up the filter, preventing the dishwasher from washing the dishes. The filter is made to come out without any tools, it just twists and pops out, I rinsed it in the faucet and popped it back in, and I rewashed the dishes. They came out clean, and I haven't had a problem since then with dirty dishes. I rave about this dishwasher to ALL my family and friends. I actually ENJOY doing the dishes!!!! Oh, and I LOVE all the happy little beeps and tunes it plays. I am a mother to 8 children, ranging from teenagers down to babies, so we wash dishes a LOT. This dishwasher is totally toddler-proof. It's easy to lock the control, and my toddler can push buttons and hear the beeps, without messing anything up. AND there is no handle to hang on, and he can NOT open it by himself. I rate this dishwasher 10 stars. There is NO point in spending more on a dishwasher just for stainless steel, the salesman said the only reason to buy a stainless steel interior it that it makes it a little more quiet. But this dishwasher is plenty quiet for me, I actually LIKE to hear the soft humming of the dishwasher. The outside cleans up very easily from little finger smudges. I LOVE it.

Bought this machine a couple of months ago. Had some issues in the beginning, but once I made the adjustments advised in the manual, the dishwasher has been working great. Still don't like the silverware holder with all of the slots.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very Good Machine

We replaced a 10 year old GE Eterna Series dishwasher with this model. This new machine is so quiet that several times I have walked over to the sink to see if the unit was filling.
The normal wash cycle seems to run extremely long (about 2 hours)
The only thing that we are not completly satisfied with is the door latch. We have to
push on it too hard to get it to stay latched.
