I have had a few dishwashers in my time, both home and at work. At work they prove the workhorses that they are. The years they are durable are unheard of.

What a disappointment!

We bought this dishwasher thinking it would perform well since it was GE. That has not been the case. We can never depend upon dishes coming out clean regardless of what we do. We very carefully follow guidelines for products. None work well. Often undissolved soap is left in the dispenser. The rinse dispenser does not work. Sometimes we must wash dishes twice to rinse off the soap. Even though we rinse dishes before we put them in, they are not clean when they come out. I would like to get rid of this dishwasher! We have had a repairman twice. He was absolutely no help. He even told us we should have kept our old dishwasher.

Doing what I want it to

We purchased this dishwasher because it had a great garbage disposal, and we disliked cleaning food scraps out of our old disposal and we couldn't get some family members to pre-rinse the dishes. The dishwasher works well, and I like the locking feature, as the small children at our house like to press buttons, and would change the settings on our old dishwasher. Cleans great and is very quiet.

Not the best

Dishes do not always come clean; have to be well rinsed. Need to remember to run hot water from sink faucet before starting washer. At times, detergent is caked in well after washing cycle is done. Also, although set for drying cycle, dishes have to be hand dried.

Will not clean dishes

This dishwasher came to my house broken. GE came and fixed it under warranty but left little pieces of plastic in it so it rattled when I used it. They fixed it again under warranty. Next issue came up that it will not dry. After you run a load, it is soaking wet after hours of completing. The repair guy said that it's a problem with this model. I still have it but wash my dishes by hand. They are cleaner and DRY.

This dishwasher is just okay. I does not seem to clean some of the plates without heavy pre-rinsing or washing. Also, sometimes the detergent door does not open during the cycle and I have to run the cycle again.

When the wash cycle is complete my dishes are still wet even though I have the heated feature turned on. My previous dish washer completely dried my dishes.
