[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased this unit and i am amazed at how quiet it is i can turn it on at night and i can not hear it in my bedrooms in my 1300 sqft home. so my kids are not going to be disturbed with this one. I also love the pull out racks for my forks and utensils so i can carry them to the drawer instead of a grabbing a handfull Thanks GE
I would recommend this to a friend!

Tiny and cheap

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This model is significantly smaller than previous dishwasher we've had. The silverware rack is poorly designed and not tall enough, and the silverware basically falls out of the tray. I bought it in hopes that it would dry my cups after a wash, and it just doesn't. Should've paid more for a better model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed a dishwasher and replaced my Kitchenaid with this GE model. No matter which drying cycle I choose, my dishes are always wet. I don't want to have to dry the dishes before I put them away. As this was an inexpensive model, I guess I got what I paid for.

Quite, simple and pretty effective.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The GE GDF510GDWW is a cost effective, quiet dishwasher with a nice array of features for the price point. The dishwasher capacity is quite good. The upper rack does a nice job with glassware and handles wine glasses even without the attachment. The height differential between the upper and lower allows you to place large, irregular items on the lower rack. The slotted silverware basket and it's multiple placement options also is a simple innovation which gives you a lot of flexibility for loading. Consumer Reports gave it high marks for noise and the marks were well earned. There is a secondary basket for lids and tall items. It's useful but does not always accommodate different thicknesses of spatulas, spoons and whatnot.
The dishwasher does a nice job with cleaning. It's rare for every dish not to be spotless. I have found the "pods" are more effective than traditional powdered detergent. The capacity and less frequent washes offset the incremental cost the detergent. The filters are accessible and easy to clean.
There are a few small cons. The run cycle seems to be long side. Also, using the heat dry, for some reason, the dishes are wetter than our old model and require secondary wiping before putting away. The higher heat function etched some of our cheap, everyday, Ikea dishes and wore the graphics off some coffee mugs, so I would use with caution with anything you deem precious.
Fit, finish, meet expectations and installations was straightforward. If you're not hung-up on creating "dishwasher-envy" this model will do the job.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very happy with dishwasher, beats hand washing any day. It's quiet and compact. I have four teenage boys and even though the wash and heated dry cycle takes about two hours, it still saves me time. I haven't had to rewash anything yet. LOVE IT
