No Bells, No Whistles..But A Dishwashing Workhorse

Our new GE dishwasher was installed several weeks ago and we are very pleased with the performance. We choose a fairly basic model based on comments by other purchasers. It is quiet and does a great job of cleaning. I also like the Cascade sample product that came with the machine. Much better than my usual store brand detergent. For the price, we were delighted with the food grinder mechanism. This feature is seldom found even on higher end washers of other brands.

Not like the old GE quality

This was the dishwasher choice of our builder--it is far from the quality we had come to expect from GE products! It's loud--takes 4+ hours to run a cycle--AND the dishes don't come out clean. We will be replacing soon with a higher quality brand.
Disappointing that GE has followed suit and started to cheap out on their product likes.

Works Average. Make sure you do a cursory rinse of really dirty/stuck on items.
Forced to use this model by a building manufacturer. Would never buy it having now used it. Not very quiet. Builder did a poor job installing it, but the method for installing is also fairly poor, 2 wood screws that you have to drive into your cabinets on either side, cheap and poor installation method can easily damage your cabinets.

I wonder if it's even possible to get silverware really clean in a dishwasher. This one leaves a bit to be desired.

We had this installed in our house last year and am completely unsatisfied. The wash/dry cycle is 3 HOURS! And everything inside is wet when it is apparently "done". Also, lately we've noticed that the soap dispenser is not dispensing. After a full cycle the detergent will be running out of the open compartment and leaking all over the silverware.

I bought this dishwasher brand new 3 years ago and ever since then it has never fully got my dishes clean. It consistently leaves soap residue no matter what type of dish soap I use. Also, when I put it on the light cycle it still runs for about an hour and a half. This is the worst dishwasher I have ever had!
