Run away from this machine!

Stay away from this machine. Both the upper and lower racks will rust and break and GE will do nothing about it. Replacement parts are no longer available and the new parts don't fit

Rusty Racks

The dishwasher itself is decent considering this is a budget level model. However the racks are the worst part of this dishwasher. The coating started to chip off after a year and then exposed the metal underneath which ultimately turned to rust. A bunch of my kitchen wares got stained with the rust and won't come off. I had to order whole new replacement racks for the top and bottom drawer which were extremely expensive and probably will have the same issues in the future.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great dishwasher Washer!

This is a great dishwashing machine holds up well. The only downside as probably with all dishwashers is that after time, the racks start to rust out and break, but overall a good dishwashing machine.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not the best performance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] None of the cycles dry the dishes well, even when you choose the temperature boost and wash temperature sani and heated drying. Very disappointing. It also takes a long time to go through a cycle - 2 to 3 hours! The soap dispenser doesn't always open properly, even in a long cycle. But it is very quiet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dishwasher takes 2-1/2 hours for a normal wash. Silverware comes out damp.
I complained to customer service and they sent a technician to check it out. He said that nothing was wrong with it, that it was working as designed. He noted that this model does not have a blower to help dry, so no wonder the silverware is drippy. If I had known that it had no blower I would not have bought it. One sometimes assumes a standard of expected efficiency, but in this case it was a mistake to do so.
This is a cheap model. If I had known how badly it was designed I would have paid more for a better one.

GE Dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always found GE to be really good that is why I purchased another GE dishwasher in the fall of 2012. I do not like how this works. The inside of the dishwasher is always wet when you open the door. I have to dry out the soap dispenser before putting in the detergent. The silverware is not always clean. I use the light cycle hoping that it would use less water, not so. The dryer cycle does dry some of the dishes but the silverware is always wet. I am very disappointed with this product. If I could take it back I would.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] and it cleans dishes pretty good, only thing that bugs me is, as long as it takes to finish (which is REALLY long), the dishes are NOT dry! I set it for Heated Dry and still very wet. oh well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The installation of the dishwasher went well, easy to reach the water inlet valve and the electrical junction box, height adjustments worked well used shims to close gap in that the opening was higher than the machine allowed.
Easy to load the racks look to be of good quality. Lots of room, cleans well on all settings.
Very quite operation, the cycle time is longer than the dish washer it replaced but not an inconvienence.
The only fault is that the dishes aren't completely dry at the end of cycle.
