Don’t waste your money

This dishwasher is just over 4 years old. I have to practically wash my dishes before I load it. Inevitably there is food on the stainless steel knives and forks after the wash. I would never buy this again!!

Problem with GDF 620 Dishwasher

This DW is a disappointment. Only about 3 years old; I have to have the electronic board replaced because the DW suddently stopped working. Not worth it.

The only reason I gave this 2 stars is because it SOMETIMES works properly. This dishwasher was included when we had our house build. It worked OK for the first year and a half. The dishes never fully dry, we always have to hand dry them when the cycle is done. The washing cycle takes a really long time, around 2 hours. Sometimes it will drain, other times it won’t, leaving a nasty mildew smell. Around 2 years of using, it started to trip the breaker, so now, when the cycle is done the switch for the dishwasher at the breaker will shut off. Every time I need to run the dishwasher I have to go turn the switch back on at the breaker. We are not sure why it has randomly decided to start doing this, but it’s really annoying when I have to go to the breaker to turn the switch on everyday. Considering this dishwasher runs for 2 hours each cycle, it is not energy efficient, it uses a lot of electricity, probably why it keeps tripping. Before moving into my new house, I lived in 20 year old apartments with the original appliances. The dishwasher in my 20 year old apartment was 1000x better than this one. Basically, spend a little extra money and get a better dishwasher. This one sucks and you will end up spending double over with repair costs and parts. Not worth it.

Unfortunately this unit has a coating on the racks that does not last very long. It falls apart and starts to rust within the first year. I live alone and do not use the dishwasher very much so this lets me know that it does not last long at all. You literally have to clean the dishes before you put them in the dishwasher.

Just doesn't do its job...

2 stars because when the soap latch happens to actually OPEN, it cleans well. But most of the time the soap latch either doesn't open at all or most of the soap stays in the compartment and looks like it slowly leaked out, leaving a mess everywhere. I've tried the Finish tabs and now liquid and neither one consistently works. It doesn't dry well either. And make sure you have it set to ONE HOUR mode or it will be running VIRTUALLY all day. Like, 12 hours. Not a fan. Should note this came with our unit, we did not make the decision to purchase. It is also brand new we are first tenants.

The racks literally fallen apart. Full of rust.
