An unfortunate let down...

I have installed several of these dishwashers of the past few months. Many of them have had issues only weeks/months after installing them. Dish racks are rusting, dishwasher float sensor is sticking, and buttons are being pushed through the escutcheon. This is a fragile unit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Baskets rusting and breaking. Soap latch don't open everytime. I have to leave it open.

When all you want is clean dishes on a daily basis

I work in the field of appliance repair and started seeing this design/models is apartment complex units. As long as a person rinses off the dirty dishes, and keeps the center cylinder filter clean, than this design/model will do its job and clean them dishes and silverware just fine and dandy. Great price for a basis unit and a step up would have been the stainless steel tub model, but these plastic tub models are just fine!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Started to Fall Apart After Two Years

This dishwasher was installed in our new construction home by the builder. After two years, both racks began to develop rust. The dishwasher is less than four years old, is full of black mold, and now the wash motor died. We had an appliance repair person take a look. His recommendation was to replace it with a new, non GE dishwasher. Seems like GE dishwashers are garbage these days.
