Doesn't Dry

This appliance was installed by the builders in the new home I purchased. This is a completely new unit and it does not dry dishes at all. It gets hot but that is it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've had GE d/w for 40 years...this is the worse one ever. Impossible to place dishes in the racks...water emptying feature is more than annoying.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Looks good, fairly quiet, but the soap dispense does not always release the soap and sometimes I have to run it twice.

Faster than our previous high efficiency washer

This dishwasher is faster than expected - our previous high efficiency washer took a few hours for a full cycle. I really like the slots for silverware to make it easier to get water/soap between the utensils. The only thing I find kind of odd is that the dishwasher lists a specific brand "Cascade" and "Affresh" instead of just having areas for the detergent and rinsing aid.

We installed this dishwasher in our vacation home. Since it is in the mid-priced range we knew it wouldn't be as quiet as a more expensive one, and we were right. It makes an unusual pumping sound during some phases. Akthough it does an excellent cleaning job, it seems to take a long time to finish a load. Still, overall we are pleased with it
