Sub-standard equipment and performance

This dishwasher does not perform effectively or reliably. Flimsy construction, unsatisfactory washes. I am constantly realigning silverware so it doesn't block the soap dispenser, pre-washing and rewashing, and realigning the closing latch. I expected much better from GE.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Our last dishwasher started leaking through the front door so it was time for a new one. This was the first time we had looked at dishwashers since we purchased our home. We wanted a dishwasher that was going to be quiet as the last one couldn't be run until we were leaving for the day or at night on the way to bed, because it was loud. In addition we needed one that could hold a lot of stuff and get things clean with multiple sprayers (top, bottom, middle). Bonus: it has the silverware space, with a little compartment great for sippy cup stoppers and medicine cups and droppers, in the door instead of on the bottom drawer, more room for the larger things. This dishwasher has all the features we were looking for and was really affordable at that. I'd give it 5 stars but we have only had it for under a week so not sure how it does in the long run but we have our fingers crossed as this seems to be a great dishwasher.

Non-generic water intake valve.

Machine looks good. I haven't used it yet. But, my son had to find a fitting that worked on your machine. It was larger than all other fittings on dishwashers.

Purchased this dishwasher to replace an old one that was not cleaning so well and leaving spots, etc. Already delighted at perfectly clean dishes and simple operation. Product was easy to install, easy to follow directions, came with all the parts. Slight problem removing the screw legs from the packaging wood, was only difficulty.
I would recommend this to a friend!
