I wouldn't have purchased this model. It's to compact for me(apartment size), plus there is an awful odor after every cycle.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not as quiet as I'd hoped, but not loud either. Great dishwasher for the price paid. Easy installation and cleans dishes beautifully. Controls are simple and basic, perfect for everyday use.

This dishwasher came with our newly built house that we moved into three months ago. It does a great job at washing the dishes, but when using the Wash Temp Boost and Heated Dry functions it takes just shy of 3 hours for it to run a full load on the Normal cycle. In addition to that, as many others have stated, it still doesn't completely dry the dishes. I've tried the suggestions of running hot water at a neighboring faucet to be sure it starts with hot water and opening it as soon as it is done so water doesn't condense on the dishes again, but that doesn't help either.
It is a nice looking dishwasher - though nothing fancy.

Seems to clean dishes very nice. Instructions were detailed and actually made since. Only complaint is a little louder than expected.

Cleans very good, it is a little more noiser than my other GE I bought last year for my rental property. Other than that we like it!
