[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] New i5-based Thinkpad - I have several i7-Thinkpads and got this as an easy-to-use mobile. My others typically are desk bound to a docking station with multiple monitors. So I am pleased with the responsiveness (8GB RAM helps) and how long the battery lasts. I've been streaming Great Courses video lectures while attending to other household tasks around the house, and it's been great. I intend to also do different IDEs for embedded coding and general C++ projects, mainly to avoid too many different IDEs on either of my i7 Thinkpads and getting systems confused (or me).
I am preparing to travel for classes and remote work, so this will be very helpful with that.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this to replace a very old netbook I was using for work (I'm a mechanic), and I couldn't be happier. I would recommend the 8GB ram upgrade, even with a pretty modest workload I seem to hang around 5-6GB usage. If I have one gripe it would be that for some reason they put the Fn key where Ctrl should be, so I hit it a lot by mistake. You can swap it in the keyboard settings so its no big deal but it still seems like a silly design choice.
