This unit is a piece of junk!! Just died after 3 years. It came with ew build house we purchased and was never happy with it. Silverware trays attach to front of shelves and sit ne t to door which means silverware NEVER dried! Know why it’s no longer available!

Good while it lasted < 10 years

While I love the ability to get GE appliances in white this dishwasher required a new motor $$ at 6 years (GE repair technician scratched my wood floor), had the heating element go out shortly after and now at 7 years, we will say goodbye. It has a leak (not from supply line) that has been oozing water for a while now and I am done fixing it. I am not impressed with reliability of GE products (refrigerator also required 2 repair trips before 5 years).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It doesn't always get the job done

Sometime i wonder if there's any cleaning actually happening or if it's just running water over dirty dishes. it's a a 50/50 shot where something gets cleaned. The bottom utensil rack prevents the soap dispenser from functioning properly so I finally just took that off..

Great features, works phenominal

I bought this dishwasher to replace a Kitchenaaide dishwasher that broke down. Thius dishwasher has worked great. The ability to select which section you want to use, and the ability to use steam, as well as additional heated water are great features.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Had repairs at least once a year. Biggest problem is water doesn't drain. Tubing is replaced but is plastic and rots. This is second time in a year!

Cleans well, but…

This dishwasher works well enough, but the gasket on the bottom of the door is horrible. Even if you rinse dishes well, nasty gunk builds up where it all collects & gets smashed under where the door closes. There is no recommendation that I can find on keeping this part clean or replacing it. It’s disgusting. I keep the rest of the washer clean, yet this part is impossible to get clean. Very frustrating!

We recommend making sure the filters are kept clean by following the instructions on page 13 of the manual. Running a cleaning cycle with citric acid can also be very helpful.
