I've had my dishwasher for three months. I like the feature, besides regular and light wash cycles, the choice of upper or lower or both racks.. The light cycle seems a bit long [49 minutes]. My main complaint is that I can't put silverware in the bottom silverware rack without special placement. If I don't put short or no utensils on the sides, they block the detergent door from opening and the entire cycle is wasted. It took me a couple wasted cycles to figure out why the detergent door didn't open. I think this was very poor planning.

Great product. I have had it for over 3 months, and it is very quiet. The dishes come out very clean. I recommend to anyone looking for a dishwasher.

reasonable cleaning for water efficiency

As long as the dishes are fairly clean when they go in, the dishes come out clean. But I understand there is only so much GE can do when California has established limits on how much water they can use, and it isn't enough to clean really dirty dishes. Larger pieces of food such as wide noodles come out really clean, but still attached to the plate, and silverware with dried on cereal, for example, will not come completely clean, so I end up pre-washing/rinsing everything. Bottom racks are great if you are eat a lot of take out, or pre-made meals, lots of room for plates, but if you actually cook, and have lots of pots and pans, it's difficult to get them in. Love how quiet this machine is over our previous dishwasher, and plenty of racks for silverware and utensils, which is very nice. Timer feature was a must for us so we could run the unit in the middle of the night.

Not a good dishwasher

This dishwasher does not empty out all the water and does not dry dishes even though the heated dry cycle is on.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Slightest things will interrupt the cycle, you definitely have to place rinse aid in it to get your dishes clean.

Ultra quiet & glasses fit in every row

My previous two dishwashers did not hold larger drinking glasses in every row on top. This dishwasher comfortably accommodates all glasses. It is about time someone got it right. Also ultra quiet. I had to check to see if it was running. Love this product.

Cheap Control Panel

The dishwasher has a very nice appearance from the front and very well situated shelving that can fit quite a large amount of product to clean. The control panel has fallen off more than a dozen times and is now loose. It doesn't sit right and have to get it serviced. It cleans well but at the same time we do a quick scrub before we fill it anyway. It's pretty quiet but not as quiet as some of the higher brands I have seen.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
