Just a basic dishwasher

This dishwasher does an okay job of cleaning things. Silverware gets stuck in the slots, but the lids morph and never close again if you use the silverware baskets instead. If you have more than 5 bowls in the dishwasher, you might as well clean all the dishes by hand because everything gets covered in grit. Sometimes, the smell of the dirty dishes gets cooked into all the dishes when you use the hottest and longest settings.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does not clean dishes

Have to pre-rinse everything and even then the dishes come out dirty. If I miss a small piece of lettuce on a fork, and then run the dishwasher, I get back a cleaner piece of lettuce. Even turning on every single option, which makes the dishwasher run for approximately 4 hours, it still does a miserable job. The soap is all over the bottom door indicating that it just plops it down the door instead of getting mixed into the machine. I now have two dish dry racks instead because my brand new dishwasher is miserable.

Not Pleased with My GE Dishwasher

Silverware doesn't dry, racks aren't set up to allow dishes to get clean by rotating washer arm and soap doesn't completely empty if dispenser door is closed at start of cycle (as directed by manual). I've tried every way to load dishes and silverware, even moving bottom silverware basket to side of bottom rack. If I choose a different cleaning cycle, it doesn't make any difference and takes a ridiculous amount of time. Selected the upgraded dishwasher from our builder. Now I'm just waiting to save up to buy another brand as it seems to be a design flaw that cannot be remedied by a repair visit.

New construction, new dishwasher. It cleans dishes and glassware phenomenally well. Even cleans the copper bottoms on my pans.
