Great product, flimsy material at stress points.

I've purchased 3 of these things. The first one because it's perfect for my job (alot of over the road sales), the other 2 for parts to replace. Specifically the latch (twice) and the plastic tab hinges (out of 6, im down to 1). I'm stubborn when I find a product I like, but its getting hard to justify purchasing a 4th one in the course of 6 months.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Sturdy, except the hinge. Replacement part?

I've had this awesome file box for a few years now and noticed that one of the caps of the hinges has come off and the file box cannot stay closed when being carried. It does not appear that I've overloaded the file box, as it's always held the files I've stored and there is room to slide them around for accessibility, so I'm not sure what caused the part to pop off.
I've reached out to customer support for assistance finding replacement caps.
When I was looking at this, I'm finding that this is a common issue. Hopeful that Sterilite: a. has replacement parts readily available and, b. they improve the design for future file boxes!
Aside from the part, I do like this box. I'd like to fix it and not have to buy a whole replacement. :)
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great for bus drivers/needs stronger latch

I now need a replacement latch as I am in and out of this box over 20 times a day.

This thing is great. I use to store all my children's' school work during the year. If I need to find anything school work during the year, I know right where it is. At the end of the school year, I empty and prepare for the next year.

Purchased 6 months ago. Great for transporting small files, but the locking mechanism is a problem. It broke and fell off after a few weeks. Have been managing with a carabiner clip through the lock hole. Is it possible to just get a replacement handle?
