Having an easy place to put and organized items that you only occasionally access is so important! I use mine for warranties and I have one for my parent's information since I help them with their finances. I don't need the tray on top, but it doesn't hurt having one!

I currently own 1 now. I store paperwork in hanging file folders. It has been knocked over a few times with moving it around. The hanging files and papers stay put. I highly recommend this product.

This product is exactly what I need to transport files. I DID search around before buying, but found this product to be the best. Had a problem - lost one of the hinge pins. Contacted Sterilite and received a new one in the mail pronto, and there was no charge to me. I have since bought another file box just like the first one. In my opinion, Sterilite is a good company with good products.

Great Product! We Homeschool, the file box is a daily go to box for our daily work!! The top comartment is where I keep my pens away from kids little fingers!!

Great for homeschooling

We use the portable file boxes in our homeschool. Each child has their own box to keep up with workbooks and papers and everything they individually need. I also use one to put the teacher manuals that I use everyday and all the little supplies that I need organized and all in one place. They stack nicely so that it looks neat and organized when the day is done. As far as durability, we have had the boxes for several years and have had the latches break, but that is probably to be expected with everyday use.

I sell life insurance and carry several insurance companies. I have found this box the best to carry my office with me on house calls. The latch broke and I contacted Sterilite and they sent me a replacement. I use duck tape to be sure that the lid does not pop open when I raise it and I'm picking up pens and paper clips. With it's problems, it is still the best I have found for my purposes.

Durable and comfortable to carry

I find this file tote to be very durable in our northern climate from extreme cold to extreme hot, it holds up well. The handle is comfortable to the hand as I tend to take many files wherever I go. I am very pleased how Sterilite stands behind their products over the past many years I have been using them.
