Great product, but...

The very first time I used it, both hinge tabs came out as I was carrying it across a parking lot, dumping small tubes of bead components everywhere. I spent over an hour picking them up, while dodging traffic. I have another file box that lost both hinge tabs, but that was over the course of 5 years! If I could get those little button hinge tabs, this purchase would not be a total waste.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

great until the latch broke

had this for two months and it was fine until it needed to be moved - full of papers it was too much for the latch. the handle is quite sturdy - why such a flimsy latch? very disappointed.

Great product, flimsy material at stress points.

I've purchased 3 of these things. The first one because it's perfect for my job (alot of over the road sales), the other 2 for parts to replace. Specifically the latch (twice) and the plastic tab hinges (out of 6, im down to 1). I'm stubborn when I find a product I like, but its getting hard to justify purchasing a 4th one in the course of 6 months.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The latch for the lid broke almost immediately. Very poorly designed.

Came with a broken latch

Bought this last year for this years taxes, didn't realize half of the thin piece of plastic securing the latch was broken (was shrink wrapped when I bought it) The other half separated soon after and now my latch is useless.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

plastic/bending hinges pop out

Hi,
I have bought the same filing box three times. All three boxes do the same thing, I am down to my last workable plastic hinges. When I move these portable boxes around, these hinges will at times pop out. It's only when I come home that I realize that box's lid is held by one hinge instead of two. There fore, I have 1 functioning box with 2 hinges attached. My other box is sitting in my closet unusable because the lid sits freely on top of the box (unattached). Does anyone know where I can buy these hinges by themselves to replace my lost ones. Thanks!
