Beware - iron leaks

I was given this iron for Christmas and loved it for quilting projects. Unfortunately I can no longer use it as it leaks any water put into the reservoir for steam. When sitting it upright all the water will drain our from the end of the stainless steel plate as well as leaking water droplets onto fabric being ironed. I’m very disappointed, and see from reviews this is a problem others have experienced with this iron. Note - I have only used distilled water in the iron.

do not buy.

so let down by this iron. It required a lot of pressure to use to begin with but now it's useless and doesn't heat up fully. I've only had it 7 months and now it's useless. I've used their sewing machines for years but I won't be using their irons ever again.

Embossed Sole Plate can mark fabric

I like the long auto off which means less lost time waiting for it to heat up again. However, I am bewildered by the decision to emboss your logo on the sole plate. The raised metal leaves oval grooves on some of our fabric which are hard to press out. Now if we want to keep using it we have to avoid using the center of the sole plate on some fabrics. Not impressed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
