Not our favorite

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This looked very cool in its packaging. My 4 year old was excited to start playing with it. It was easy to put together, just a couple things to snap in place. When we launched the car it kept missing the yellow and red targets so nothing would happen. The slime aspect is fine but very messy. I would choose a different hot wheels set over this one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It works best with regular 1:64 scale sports cars or sedans. Bulky or too heavy cars, such as vans, trucks or buses won’t work as well. Snake hot wheels

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids have enjoyed playing with this, just wish the launcher was a bit different sometimes it goes all the way around and sometimes is does not. It also depends on the age of the kid the older they are the harder they can slap the launcher. Other then that is a pretty fun toy.

It works best with regular 1:64 scale sports cars or sedans. Bulky or too heavy cars, such as vans, trucks or buses won’t work as well. Part of the fun is figuring which vehicles work the best. Then you know you have a real winner!

Kids Had Fun!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this item to review. Setup was easy and the kids loved the way the snake springs forward at the car. It held their interest and it was a fun afternoon!The slime was a bit messy though so make sure kids play with this on hard flooring.

Slime Snake

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] One of the best things I love about Mattel Hot Wheels is how well made they are and that they fit with any set that you own. This one came with slime that could come out of the snakes mouth or the bridge. I loved that the slime was not sticky and easy to pick up and put back into the snake or bridge. I also loved that the slime jar fit into the top of the snake so it wouldn't get lost easy. The colors were bright and my grandson loved playing with it and hooking it up to the other Hot Wheels that we already had. A great set and he loved it which is what matters to me. Easy to disassemble and store.

Interesting twist!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Such a great twist to the other Hot Wheels playsets. My boys had so much fun playing with it. It’s ready to go right out of the box, no batteries needed and nothing to really setup. The slime is the perfect consistency and texture to pass through the snakes mouth. Once the slime starts to get handled more it moves through the snakes mouth a lot faster, I just put it away for a little while so that it would get cool again and we could get more cars through the snakes mouth. You can also flip the head of the snake back to get the slime back in so you don’t have to keep touching it too. There are a few small pieces of slime that separated from the larger piece so I would just stick them back with it, so watch out for that, not a big deal. The City Toxic set also has other pieces that can be bought to connect them all to make the whole city which I’m hoping I can start purchasing to do that. Overall, a hit at our house and a nice playset to add to our other Hot Wheels track sets.

This is definitely a HIT

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this for my son, and I couldn't get it out of the package fast enough! The theme of snake & venom (slime) is very exciting, at least for a 5 year old.
The good:
Integrates with all hot wheels city playsets (as well as with older track with an adapter).
Offers a wide range of playability, from launching the car as intended, to just smashing the buttons to make the snake "attack" or be defeated.
The slime isn't very sticky, which is GREAT NEWS if you have carpeted play areas.
Bonus, the hotwheels sign doubles as a slime dripping mechanism.
The bad:
The launcher does not reliably launch the car through the tunnel into the loop. It might be that my son launches it too hard, but I had trouble with it as well. Tried different cars with the same iffy result.
Overall, its a solid 4 stars. I'd give it 5, but the launcher is definitely a problem.

Great toy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received this toy three days ago. It was simple to put together and my son was so excited to see it. He loved it and played with it 2 hours straight had a lunch break and went right back to it. The next morning it was the first thing he ran to. He thought the snake was so cool. He liked trying to make the snake eat the car and had fun making the snake jump.I really like the easy to use launcher. We’ve had others that were just too difficult for him to use. He had no problem with this one. The slime was an added bonus but wasn’t necessary and a little messy. My son liked it though.over all it was a hit and he is still playing with it. In fact his 4th birthday was the week before he liked this better then his birthday gifts.

Hours of Fun

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for my 4 year old and he can not get enough of it. It was easy to assemble and add ooze. You have to make your car go fast enough and not get caught but the oozing snake. My son absolutely loves and get a real kick out of it.
